A dry text is a brief or low-detail reply that can be hard to continue. DryText is a private dry text analyzer for WhatsApp or iMessage exports: review dry texting patterns, short dry text messages, and tone changes without treating one reply as proof.

Review changes in response pace across the messages you provide.
Notice where a conversation becomes warmer, shorter, or harder to read.
See who starts threads and whether each person keeps them moving.

One short reply cannot explain the reason. If you need clarity, try: “Want to pick this up later?”
Use patterns to find a better question—not to label a person.
Put a dry text in context before deciding what it means.
Review when a familiar conversation starts to feel different.
Understand short replies without ranking people by message count.

A brief “sure” can be neutral, rushed, or part of a wider shift. The surrounding messages matter.
If one person regularly starts the chat and carries every topic, that pattern may be worth discussing.
Work, stress, habits, and offline events can change how someone texts. A transcript cannot show all of them.
Answers about dry texting meaning, examples, responses, and what chat analysis can reveal.
A dry text is a message that feels brief, flat, or difficult to continue. Dry texting describes a communication pattern, not a diagnosis or proof of what someone feels. See the full dry text meaning guide.
It can mean someone is busy, tired, naturally concise, distracted, or less engaged. The messages alone cannot tell you which explanation is true; look at the broader pattern and ask directly when it matters.
A sudden change can have many causes, including a full schedule, stress, a different communication habit, or a change in interest. Compare more than one exchange and leave room for context outside the chat.
The same possibilities apply regardless of gender. A short reply may reflect the moment or a repeated pattern, but it does not reveal someone’s intent by itself.
Try one clear, low-pressure question instead of sending several follow-ups or matching the brief tone. Our dry text responses guide includes examples for different situations.
Examples include a one-word answer that closes a topic, a short reply that still confirms a plan, or a sudden change from detailed messages to brief ones. Our dry text examples show why context changes the read.
No analyzer can establish someone’s private feelings. DryText can organize observable patterns in a supported conversation, but a report is a prompt to reflect—not proof or a prediction.
The current upload flow accepts WhatsApp TXT files up to 25 MB, WhatsApp ZIP archives up to 100 MB with a TXT transcript up to 25 MB, and iMessage TXT files up to 25 MB. ZIPs are extracted on your device, then the transcript is uploaded for analysis. See the WhatsApp export guide for limits and privacy checks.
No. A short answer can be perfectly normal when it answers a simple question. Repetition, changes over time, and whether the conversation still moves forward matter more than one message.
Uploaded chat text is processed to create the report you request. Transcripts without a report are deleted within 48 hours; those with a report are deleted within seven days of the latest report. Read the Privacy Policy before uploading.
