Analyze dry texts with a WhatsApp chat analyzer

Upload a WhatsApp TXT or ZIP export to review dry text messages, changes in tone, and who keeps a conversation moving. DryText connects observations to excerpts you can check in the original chat.

What the WhatsApp dry text analyzer looks for

  • Whether brief replies are isolated or repeat across the conversation.
  • Who starts threads, asks follow-up questions, and keeps topics moving.
  • Changes in tone, response patterns, and follow-through over time.
  • Turning points supported by messages in the uploaded export.

A dry text can have more than one explanation. The report describes what is visible in the WhatsApp export; it cannot know why someone chose a particular reply.

How evidence checking works

When the report presents a short quote as evidence, the server checks that the excerpt can be found in the uploaded conversation. If a claim is interpretive or weakly supported, the report should label it with lower confidence instead of presenting it as fact.

Prepare a useful WhatsApp chat export

  1. Open the chat in WhatsApp and choose Export chat.
  2. Select Without media to keep the export focused on message text.
  3. Upload a TXT file up to 25MB or a ZIP file up to 100MB; a TXT extracted from the ZIP must also be up to 25MB.
  4. Keep the transcript at or below 50,000 messages and upload only a conversation you are entitled to use.

Questions a transcript can answer well

Text history is useful for questions about repeated behavior: who starts conversations, whether plans receive follow-through, how quickly tone changes after conflict, or which group members support one another. It is less reliable for questions that depend on body language, deleted messages, voice notes or events that happened offline. A focused question and a representative date range usually produce a clearer report than asking the AI to explain an entire relationship.

Check the result against WhatsApp

Keep the original export while reading the preview. When a section includes evidence, search for the excerpt and read the nearby messages, not only the quoted line. Context can change the meaning of a joke, a delayed reply or a brief answer. Confidence labels help prioritize what to inspect, but your knowledge of the people and circumstances remains essential.

What stays outside the report

The analyzer does not log into WhatsApp, recover deleted content or read conversations you did not upload. It cannot hear tone of voice, see facial expressions or know what happened after a message was sent. Those boundaries are important: a well-organized text analysis can reveal patterns in the export, but it cannot turn incomplete data into complete knowledge.

Frequently asked questions

How do I analyze a WhatsApp chat?

Export the conversation from WhatsApp without media, upload the ZIP or TXT file, confirm the participants and choose your report focus. You can then read two report sections free.

How do I export a WhatsApp chat for analysis?

Open the chat in WhatsApp, choose Export chat, and select Without media. Save or share the text export, then upload its TXT file. The exact menu labels can vary by device and app version.

Can the analyzer see deleted or missing messages?

No. It can only process text present in the export you upload. Missing, deleted, voice and offline context are outside the report.

Does it analyze photos and voice notes?

No. Export without media. The report is based on the supported text transcript.

Can a WhatsApp dry text analyzer tell who likes whom?

No. It can organize observable patterns such as initiation, reciprocity, and tone shifts, but those patterns do not prove private feelings or intent.
